Recap of the week in Michigan

Good evening
It has been a week since I have last updated the blog, and it is now my duty to recap the events of the last few days in a concise yet informative manner. Having exhausted all excuses, some more imaginative than others, the children are both in bed, and I will use this opportunity to bring you up to date.
We have kept quite a busy social schedule while visiting family in Michigan. Similarly to Eugene Onegin,
Having predicted such an active social life, I have packed quite a large wardrobe for Sophia to allow for the change of dress during the highly packed week. It was proven, however, that such variety in fashion is not required, as Sophia continued to wow her social circle with a glittery, if not overused, mermaid dress.
During the whole week, Emil has displayed cheerful disposition and unprecedented stoicism. Allowing Sophia to tag and pull his every extremity even while enjoying his meals, he brought smiles to all around him.
While most such visits did not require a referee, there was one that should be noted separately. While paying the return visit to the family of Young/Samoilov, we have left (and received) quite a lasting impression. While we, the oblivious parents, were delving into the world of subprime mortgages and the collapse of the economic state as we know it, the pressious offsprings - Sophia and Tanya - were duking it out over the doll d'or using fists, teeth and nails, amonth other available materials. According to the laws of matter conservation, the forementioned doll could not be in two pairs of hands at the same time. Due to the graphic content, the video of this duel could not be shown. Please check back to this post for the still videos of the afterparty, displaying favorable resolution of the conflict.
The trip back was, thankfully, uneventful. The trusty Corolla was streched beyond limits as we have packed all imaginable objects - weareable and edible. We had a wonderful time, and have now returned home, gearing to continue a much anticipated for some, and less anticipated for others, schedule.

We have heard quite a number of Sophisms this week, but only managed to remember a few of them. Feel free to write back if you remember others.
Потеряв заколку: ладно, не будем мучиться и целый день ее искать.
Зовя Лену: Бабушка! Бабушка! .... Папина мама!!!
Уходя из гостей: Спасибо, приходите еще
