Labor day weekend

On Thursday, we've decided that hanging out in the city on Labor Day weekend isn't such a great idea, and we ought to plan a getaway. We polled our friends for the perfect location, and settled on Skytop Lodge, in Poconos. Since Saturday was supposed to be rainy, we have booked the cottage room in the Lodge for Sunday night, and started "preparations" for the trip. When we finished packing, it looked like we packed the whole house. And, of course, there were snacks.. and more snacks.. and more snacks.
When we got to the Lodge, we saw that the grounds were truly beautiful. The huge lawn housed various games, inclding the archery, which we - of course - mastered. There were two pools and a kiddie pool, biking, kayaking, fishing, etc. Sasha took Sophia on the bike tour, and she got to sit in the burley (the "carriage"). It was exciting... well, for the first 10 minutes or so. Emil and I went around by foot. We were supposed to meet at the waterfalls, but when Emil and I got there - turned out Sasha and Sophia didn't make it. They couldn't find a way, so they went back to the Lodge. So, we turned around and headed back to the Lodge as well.
We checked in, and went to see our room. The room in the cottage was pretty standard, but it had a private patio, which came in handy when both kids were down at night. Sophia was to sleep on the pull-out couch, which was very exciting for her.
On Monday, Sasha wanted to take Sophia on a boat ride, but when she put on the life jacket and got in the boat, she didn't like it, so we took her out. Sasha went for a quick ride in the canoe (or kayak, I don't know which one - the long one where you kind of sit inside), and when he came back, Sophia decided to fish. Seriously, she wanted to fish... We tried scaring her off with some bait, but she said she wanted to fish without bait. We obliged.
