Halloween Week

It's time for me to refresh on the week and recap the events of the past few days. I could pretty much summarize it in one sentence - Sophia has had a LOT of sugar. But I will try to be a little more eloquent and give you some more context.
To those of you who are not familiar with Halloween - it is a holiday (pagan, by the way) that translates into "candymania" for the kids. The kids and adults dress up, and the main activity is "trick-or-treating". Frankly speaking, its the time when all kids have a wild card to put on a costume and go and ask perfect strangers for candy.
On Friday - Sasha was off from work, and I worked at home. Chelsea Market near our home had a party, so off we went to get the basket "full of sugar". Prancing around the streets in her perfect little hat, Sophia couldn't wait to get to the destination. Sasha and I were a little nervous, though, knowing that the last time Sophia saw people in costumes, she pretty much freaked out. We were right to a degree, she did get scared of some of the ghosts and such, but even that couldn't stop her from collecting candy. I think she knew that we would take all of it away once we got home, so she gobbled up as much as she could right there in the stores. We met up with Sophia's friends, Eva and Emma, and the three of them were going wild, high on sugar. I guess they weren't any different from the other 500 children that came to celebrate.
On Saturday, we had a dance lesson, so the whole family set out to take Sophia to Brooklyn. Once we got there, though, Sophia had thrown a huge tantrum, screaming that she doesn't want to go and demanding that we take her to a Halloween party instead. She screamed so loudly that Sasha, who had waited outside with Emil, could hear her. All my efforts to try and calm her down went in vain, and so I collected her and all of her belongings and carried her out of the building, still screaming and kicking. How fun! She was restricted from having candy for the next year, but we actually think she stole one and ate it in her little tent just the next day. For now, everything has been hidden away from her sight, we'll try to maintain the sugar levels until at least New Year's.
Emilka is doing well, and is still not interested in candy. He is interested in adult food, though, and almost snatched out kotleta from Sasha a few days ago. He is really getting big and strong, and has taken control of the remote in the house. He keep switching the channels while Sophia is watching her cartoons, as he is trying to follow the election campaign.
We collected some Sophisms this week, here they are:
"Я не гражданка, я девочка"
"Папа, не ходи в крим-чизку" (химчистку)

"Платьевый ящик" - платяной шкаф
